For the next seven weeks, we are going to be reading books and discussing the 7 Habits of Kids. This goes along with a book by Stephen Covey called, The Leader in Me. I want to take a positive approach to developing these amazing young people into leaders and be successful in the classroom with ALL types of students.
This week, we focused on:
Habit 1: Be Proactive
- Have a can do attitude
- Choose your attitude, mood, and actions
- Don't blame others
- Do the right thing, even when no one is looking
We read Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good Very Bad Day and The Pout Pout Fish. Then, we discussed how the choices they made affected their mood and attitude.
